Join us for an exciting and creative day of art at Roselyon School!
On Thursday 9 May 2019, from 9am to 3.45pm, we are offering a day of fun, challenge and arty education!
Ideal for children in Year groups 2, 3 and 4, including those who are home-educated, children will first create an innovative masterpiece from an unusual collection of mystery materials – weather permitting, in our wonderful outdoor learning environment.
Then after lunch, which we will provide, we are excited to announce the visit of landscape artist Amanda Hoskin, who will be leading a workshop designed to stretch every child’s interest and ability.

Roselyon School is pleased to invite enthusiastic Year 2 and Year 3 mathematicians to join us for a Maths Enrichment Event, in conjunction with Truro School.
Rescheduled from a snowy date in February, the better weather means we can hold our Maths Day outdoors in our fabulous grounds and engage in active learning activities, including problem solving, teamwork and creativity.
The event is on Friday 22 March 2019 and will run from 9am to 12.30pm. All children are welcome to stay for lunch and Games until 3.45pm.
Places will be allocated in order of registration. The quickest route to register is to email firstname.lastname@example.org
We look forward to hearing from you!
On Saturday 23 March 2019, we warmly invite you to visit Roselyon and see for yourself what our independent prep school in Cornwall is really like.
At our first Open Morning in our new home in Lanlivery, there will be a range of activities both indoors and out, so you will have the chance to see our wonderful new classrooms and fabulous outdoor learning environment – complete with adventure activity centre, woodlands, lakelands, and even our resident pigs!
There will be lots to see and do including a singing masterclass, art and drama activities, and a demonstration from our champion fencing team. We will be showing off our outdoor learning opportunities and our activity challenge course will be officially opened! The Bird Lady of Fowey will also be attending with owls and hawks, and there will even be activities for the little ones, with a special insight into our weekly toddler group.
Staff, governors, parents and pupils will all be on hand to talk to you about what life is like at our amazing school, including our unique home education options.
Roselyon is widely recognised for producing outstanding educational results and these achievements have secured our position as the only ‘Sunday Times Top 100’ prep school in Cornwall in recent years. In our latest ISI Inspection, children’s attainment was rated ‘excellent’ and we are proud to have this confirmation that our children ‘attain notably high standards of literacy and numeracy, and have outstanding attitudes towards learning.’ Much of this success can be attributed to our small class size policy.
You can also find out more about our focus on outdoor learning, with Beach School, Woodland School, the numerous opportunities to learn on the farm adjacent to the school and a very broad range of outdoor co-curricular activities.
If you are looking for a prep school in Cornwall, do come along and see us on 23 March between 1oam and 12 noon. There is plenty of free parking and our site is fully accessible. To register your interest, call us on 01726 812110 or email your details to email@example.com
We really do look forward to seeing you!
Are you looking to supplement your home education with direct high-quality teaching?
We can help with that! We offer home-educated children from Reception to Year 6 the option to attend any number of subjects taught here at our independent prep school in Cornwall, from French, Latin, Religious Studies and PHSE, through to Science, Art, Maths and English.
Roselyon is a small and friendly school, with experience in providing tailored solutions for home-educators. Our dedicated teaching staff and classroom assistants provide the maximum of time to each child. We believe strongly in praise and encouragement and ensure the children (and parents) are aware of the progress they are making.
Our fees are very competitive when compared to traditional home tutoring costs, and parents can choose to purchase as many or as few subjects as they choose. The only requirement is that subjects are purchased as a ‘half-term block’ (there are a set number of lessons a week and timetables will be discussed with you) and paid for in advance for half a term.
If you are interested, please do call us on 01726 812110 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
Should you decide to proceed, you will need to provide us with a copy of the letter you have received from the Elective Home Educator’s office in Cornwall. The parent has responsibility for the provision of ‘efficient full-time education’ (Education Act 1996), and the Roselyon subjects will form part of that provision.

Are you considering an independent prep school in Cornwall as the next step for your son or daughter?
If yes, then you should definitely consider coming along soon to experience a ‘taste’ of the school day at Roselyon! While our website and prospectus will give you a flavour of life in our small and friendly school, spending time here will give you and your son or daughter a much better insight to our teaching, learning and school environment.
We tailor the taster completely to your needs: choose the subjects your child would most like to experience, and a time of day which means they can also enjoy a breaktime or lunchtime with us, and we will organise the rest.
Having visited, should you decide you would like to proceed with the admissions process we will arrange for your child to visit us for a day or two in the term before they join, in order to become more familiar with the surroundings and to make friends to play with in the holidays.
For more details, do call us on 01726 812110 or email email@example.com
Roselyon is delighted to announce two new minibus routes for families living in the north of the county.
The first will provide those in the Wadebridge area with access to Roselyon School on a route which travels in via Bodmin. The second is a new collection point at Cornwall Services on the A30, ideal for parents travelling to and from work on this route.
Head of Roselyon Hilary Mann said, “Our escorted minibus services from Bodmin, Liskeard and St. Austell have always been popular, so much so that we have added a second bus for our St. Austell families. Our recent move to Lanlivery means we are now more accessible if you live in the north of the county, with convenient stops where you can meet the bus on your way to work or from home, knowing that your child will be delivered safely to school.”
Red Class are preparing to plant their seeds and have been learning to use serious tools. Drilling down into the subject?
