Return of the Happy Campers

Prep VI had a wonderful time at Summer Camp in beautiful weather this week.  Learning team-building skills whilst canoeing, climbing, practising archery – what could possibly be better in the Cornish sumshine?

National 3rd Place for Fencing Team

Thirteen children from Roselyon took part in the British Schools Team Chapmionships last weekend and all gave an excellent account of themselves.  We are very proud of Billy, Arlo and Alfie who came home with bronze medals, even though they have another year in the same age group.  Congratulations!

Prep I & II Visit Africa…

We all thought we had been transported to Africa this morning as Prep I & II entertained us with drumming, story-telling and singing.  Marvellous!

Roselyon’s First Bake-off

We were all hugely impressed with the standard of cakes baked by children from Red Class to Prep VI for our first Bake-off. It was very difficult to choose a winner but in the end we did.  We’re still counting the amount raised for Shelter Box but it looks as impressive as the cakes which helped to raise it!

National Fencing Qualifier

Grace has made us all proud by winning a bronze medal in the South West Regional British Youth Qualifiers for Fencing.  This entitles her to represent the South West in the U12 Girls’ Foil British Youth Chamionships in Sheffield in April.  We are especially proud of Grace because she only started fencing last summer.  Congratulations and good luck!

Open Morning – Friday 13th January 10.00-12.00

At Roselyon we believe in celebrating the whole child and all of their strengths.  Success in animation and horse riding are just as important as achievement in academic tests, which is why our children do so well.  In the last year at Roselyon:

  • 29% of Year 6 pupils were awarded independent school scholarships
  • 21% of Year 6 pupils were awarded a place at a state grammar school
  • children have qualified for a national art competition final
  • children have qualified for a national cross-country final
  • children have qulaified for a national athletics final
  • children have been successful at a national level in fencing.

Come and see us at work and find out why happy children achieve so much.

Toddlers’ Christmas Party

Mr Wacky entertained a hugely excited group of toddlers (accompanied by some older children!) at their Christmas Party.  The excitement on the children’s faces was magical.

A Christmas Carol

Red Class impressed us all with their acting.  They learned many lines and projected their voices with confidence.  We are very proud of them.
