Starting to Build an Education

Red Class’s curriculum leads on from the foundations laid in the Nursery.  Continuing with Forest School and structured activities, the children are introduced to more formal number work, writing and reading.  In a caring atmosphere the boys and girls learn to care for each other and the environment, whilst making great strides forward in their knowledge and understanding of the world.

Weekly swimming and PE lessons ensure that the physical side of their education is addressed and the children end each day happy, stimulated and eager to take on further challenges.

Creative education is a source of joy to the children at Roselyon and Red Class take a delight in drawing, painting and creating 3-dimensional models in a variety of materials.  Music is explored with our professional staff and the children learn about rhythm, pitch and tone as well as using instruments and singing.  Each term the class prepares an assembly for the school, to which parents are invited, and it is a pleasure to watch the children’€™s confidence increase.

Our children learn through play and enjoyment and are eager to explore new challenges and to try different experiences.
